~Have you ever been to the Rim Country of Arizona? Central Arizona around Payson is a really unique place. The Mogollon rim is the southern uplift of the Colorado plateau. The East Verde river cabin is located rough 4 miles south of the Rim, and 13 miles north of Payson.

As you can see on the map below from Phoenix, the cabin is about a 1.5 hour drive. The cabin is located off of Houston Mesa road which is easy to locate.  Payson is a bedroom town with many villages surrounding the Rim Country. It holds claim is the oldest Rodeo in the west and it goes on every year in Spring and again in August. It has been going on for 132 years!

Shain grew up on the east Verde River and met Debbie there in 2012. The cabin and the area surrounding the river is a very special place. While visiting the Rim area and staying in our cabin you will find lots of rock and fossil collecting around Payson and the east Verde river cabin. Waterfalls, swimming holes, hunting, fishing, and lots of outdoor relaxation awaits you at the East Verde River Cabin, AZ.

We have decided in 2020 not to rent our cabin out pending our plans to relocate in the future. The last large group we had rent the cabin we discovered they drove on our flagstone patio. In the meantime we begun listing our apartment for rent through this website and Airbnb only. Since listing it on airbnb we have attracted more younger couples and now have a super host standing with over 25 reviews in two months. The apartment is much better in person than anyone ever expects. The back patio is surreal to sit on, listen to the river flowing, watching all the wildlife come in a visit, and just enjoying the day.
