I really enjoy baking when I can manage to do it. Bread is just something, when done right, is really something hard to come by anywhere else. This later winter into Spring I did several builds of a fresh sourdough starter and also made a few soft doughs along the way. Who doesn’t enjoy baking? I made 100% Sourdough, Vermont style Sourdough, Olive Sourdough, and Rustic style 60% sourdough. I made a fresh starter and have maintained it since February. I also made Kolches, Milk Buns, Brioche Cinnamon Buns, and Butter Bread.
These are some pictures of all those mentioned items, minus a couple. I think I would like to continue perfecting my sourdough but will have to purchase a dutch oven in order to do that best. The oven at the cabin is just not ideal for baking super hot temperatures but it is fine for doing softer breads at lower temps. What would you bake while staying at the cabin? Also, don’t miss out on the WWFD Memorial Weekend Bakesale just down the street on 5/25/19. You might find some of my Sourdough there this year.
